4 turntables, 2 DJ’s doing live remixes of original tracks they’ve produced

Who are the BEATards?
The BEATards is actually a collective of producers/ djs headed by
el beatardo DJ O. Other BEATards include dJ Fresh (Oakland) and Ad Stig (NYC)
In NY- it’s Capt. Planet and DJ O

The Concept for MIXTAPE RIOT came from many nights of going out and always hearing the same music no matter where you went.
Nowadays people are only satisfied when they can sing along to a familiar tune.
So for instance they’ll take acapellas and put them over original production instrumentals the BEATards have created- -
then they’ll flip that remix in to another remixed version thus remixing live in the moment creating a continuous flow of beats.
This process is repeated and a new style of team dj’ing is created. A syncopated mix of a capellas and instrumentals.
What makes this revolutionary is that all the instrumentals are
original productions by the BEATARDS crew. This way they are mixing the
new with the old, the familiar with the uncharted.
The recipe for MIXTAPE RIOT
The 4 acts are then sprinkled in between the mixes..
Thus the flow between the remixing/cutting/chopping and live stuff flows continually like a mixtape once you hit PLAY
