It was an early saturday morning, about five a clock
And I took the decision to go out and take a little walk
So I met up with J and we walked for half an hour
And just as we were heading home, I realised the power
Of the magical, beautiful field close to my home
And I began to write, so I could rock the microphone
Because they want to build on this field

I will fight for it for the rest of my life
I will sacrifice house, kids and wife
Its been there since the day I was born
And it cant go away, it cant leave my all alone

But of course I realise that its gonna happen
